Synopsis:

Sha.Na. Nawre’s ‘Shillak’ – This is an adolescence love story of a boy from Brahmin origin & a girl from Muslim background. Given the circumstances, this love story does not complete in a happy end & the wedlock never dawns on this couple. But this saccharine relationship in emotionally influential years leaves sweet paw marks on those tender minds for the rest of their lives..

Da. Ma. Mirasdar’s ‘Shivajiche hastakshar’ – This story is about protagonist - a young school going kid, his history teacher & his father. The teacher & child’s father both are extremely passionate about the subject ‘history’... The story unfolds itself & finds the child caught between the varying opinions of his teacher & father. The aggressive debate between to two is to prove wether Chchatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was literate enough to write or not.

Ratnakar Matkari’s ‘Head study’ - This is a mystifying tale of a sculptor who pours life in his creations through his honed skill of creating human skulls. Almost all of Mr. Matkari’s literary creations leave his readers surprised and in a state of shock, with head study the writer maintains his trend as he makes the protagonist study or unfolds the tales of Radha – Krishna, however, the protagonist chooses one of his friends –a qualified psychiatrist as a medium for this venture.

Va.Pu.Kale’s ‘Badli’ - This story beautifully unfolds the busy and ever fast life of Mumbai.. Dada Damle has enough on his plate as he struggles in his life. He occupies the 4th floor of his apartment where the water shortage problem is almost persistent. As Dada fights out this daily ordeal is his life he encounters a ghostly experience. Mr.Ekbote a spirit of a dead man decides to help Dada get rid of these everyday hassles in his life. The story is about the confusion caused by Mr. Ekbote’s generous intentions...

Apart from these 4 stories, 2 Hindi stories – ‘secondhand’ & ‘Anubhav’ too are a part of bouquet. These stories haven’t been presented before and we at swarnamadhya have tried to maintain the original flavor of the stories & have put in our best to present them in the same light as their writers have perceived them.

Bouquet is directed by Anand Kekan while the production responsibility is shouldered by Nikhil Hajare. This theatrical venture sees the actor at the center stage & hence the lesser focus on other functional supports like art direction, music, lights, etc. This precisely makes ‘Bouquet’ a unique attempt. All the performing artists in the play are products of swarnamadhya’s theatre workshop.
